BACHELOR OF ARTS IN ENGLISH (HONOURS)
The B. A. English (honours) course at KIIT (Deemed to be University) is designed to provide its students training in relevant apprehensions in English Literature and Language studies. The objective of the course is to inculcate among the students the ability to analyze, appreciate, understand and critically engage with literary texts written in English Language and other associated relevancies, approaching them from literary, theoretical perspectives, and practical points of human concerns; and with a clear understanding of locations. The purpose of the B. A. (Honours) course in English, under the semester system (CBCS), is to offer an undergraduate student of English Literature both basic and specialized training at an advanced level. The choice of the course by the students assumes that the student has already made a commitment to higher learning, and is training either for an academic career or for one that will utilize expertise in area studies.
