KIIT School of Languages (KSOL) organized an on campus poster presentation competition entitled Shuffling Shakespeare on 19th April, 2022. This event was organized in April to mark the birth anniversary of William Shakespeare, the Bard of Avon. The competition preceded by an exhibition of the posters.

The event was graced by Dr. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Hon’ble Registrar of KIIT Deemed to be University, who appreciated the efforts of the organizers and the choice of the theme for the event.  Shuffling Shakespeare was organized by Prof. Debanjali Roy, Asst. Professor, KSOL, and Ms. Shatabdi Mishra, student of M.A. in English,(Fourth Semester), KSOL. The event was arranged by students of M. A in English,  (Fourth Semester). Ms. Prerna Guha and Ms. Monali Pattnaik, students of M.A. in English (Fourth Semester) anchored the event while Prof. (Dr.) Beerendra Pandey, Dean, KIIT School of Languages, Dr. Gourab Chatterjee, Asst. Professor, KIIT School of Languages, and Prof. Tanmoy Putatunda, Asst. Professor, KIIT School of Languages, served as members of the Jury. Dr Pandey conveyed the welcome address by appreciating the team effort and highlighted the necessity of such an event, one that blends creativity and critical thinking. Posters were designed and presented on the lasting legacy and influence of Shakespeare on contemporary society, culture, language, and visual arts. The participants ranged from first year undergraduate students to final year postgraduate students not only from KIIT School of Languages but also from other departments.

Ms. Shatabdi Mishra, Ms. Naazia Gulnar and Mr. Tanmay Behera secured first, second and third position in the competition respectively.Their presentation was appreciated and they were awarded with Merit certificates and prizes for their achievement and brilliant performance. Participants and members of the Organizing Committee were presented with certificates by Dr. Kaish Q Khan, Asst. Professor, KIIT School of Architecture and Planning, and Dr. Shipra Gupta, Asst. Professor, KIIT School of Languages. The Academic Coordinator, Dr. Sahel Md Delabul Hossain, and the Deputy Director, Mr. Sameer Kumar Das, attended the event and lauded the ingenuity of the poster presenters.

Shuffling Shakespeare was the first offline on campus competition organized by KIIT School of Languages which marked the first post-covid phase competition of KSOL.
