Sameer Kumar Das, Deputy Director, KIIT School of Language has over 14 years of experience in Public Relations, Business Development and Marketing Communication in Delhi/NCR Region.
He started career in the PR industry where he catered services to Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, Tourism Malaysia, Star Cruises, Resorts World Sentosa, ICICI Securities, etc. while working with various agencies. From 2011-2016, worked with Toshali Resorts International as PR Consultant with a special responsibility to promote the Buddhist heritage destinations of Odisha. Prior to joining KIIT, he was working as Business Development Manager with BoardPAC Pvt Ltd, a Sri Lanka based multinational software company promoting board meeting automation solution ‘BoardPAC’.
In 2014, he conceptualized and co-founded KALINGA LANKA FOUNDATION, Odisha’s first international think tank at Delhi in association with the High Commission of Sri Lanka and eminent personalities from Odisha and Sri Lanka to foster collaboration in the field of education, culture and commerce.
Mr Das studied B.E. (Electrical) from KIIT Bhubaneswar and holds a Diploma in Training & Development from ISTD, New Delhi which is approved by Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India. He recently completed his study of PG Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication from IGNOU, New Delhi. He has immense interest in poetry, culture, tourism and history.
